MicroTrends wishes to encourage new traders without asking them to pay out for technologies that may take a considerable time to master before the trader can really make a decision if they want that to purhcase that tool.
So Licenses will be for 2 machines
Indicators and strategies will 100% free for testing and sim trading
Public betas are 100% free
Live trading is also 100% free for a limited trial period of 30 to 90 days.

Notes about releases
Q.What version of ninjaTrader do I need?
A. NinjaTrader 7 - the latest version - alwasy install the latest version as notified by NinjaTrader
Q. When is it ready
A. The project is an ongoing evolution with a 2 year roadmap currently, partial and milestone releases allow new functionality to be released in stages.
Q. Why does the file name look the same
A. The file, MicrotrendsNinjaTraderFramework7.zip will always be the same, the internal version gets incremented with each release - you will only ever need 1 file
Q. This is a Public Beta
A. Yes so there may be glitches - if you can report any they can be fixed and addressed making the product better
Q. I have some ideas for indicators, strategies or changes
A. Send them in I can build them in, trader feedback steers the project as well as the internal vision of where the product is going
Q. Will i be notified of updates?
A. You can subscribe to this thread to get updates mailed to you, or twitter, facebook, the blog or the actual software will report that it has a new version and will tell you - it can then be auto downloaded to a folder from which you can inistall it.
Q. What is ready in thie release
A. The indicators are ready bar any glithces that may arise - different NT versions, OS, local languages, data feeds may all prodcue different scenarios not covered in testing internally - public beta version is the only way to test the software
Q. When will the Public Beta version change to the Release Candidate 1?
A. When a full set of indicators and strategies including the Silver bullet is released and test ok by public beta
Q. Is the Public Beta free?
A. The public beta is 100% free for testing and live trading
Q. Is the MicroTrends NinjaTrader Framework the same?
A. No
Q. Will you be reverse migrating the new products to NT6.4
A. You can't it is not possible to do that 100% - so the answer is no- The current version for NT 6.5 will remain the same

NinjaTraderFramework7 Public beta version 7.0.0.16 now available for download.

This version will tell you when teh next version is released and optionally automatically download the update for you.
It will speak to you...every time you start NT until you upgrade.
This version does not come with MT2, MT3, Silver bullet - this is the last bit of version 7.0.0 series...
The execution engine is being tested and worked on at the moment,
Settings will be placed back on indicators and strategies...

this project has a 2 year road map and releases of functionality are planned at regular milestones...

You will be able to browse all settings and even share them with others in future versions.
Another option for you is that you share you experience with MicroTrends so that the Framework catlogues settings and results against session times, intruments and timezones and makes intelligent suggestions for settings for participating members. This functionaility will be present as i need it for support purposes and my own trading research - i will be able to post a setting and you can simply enter it number and it will download to your strategy...all simple stuff for a combined geek and trader.

Possible limitation of free use after a period for Traders who use a sim account on live connection...

NinjaTrader Installation Guide
You may have to remove all existing individually installed MicroTrends Indicators before you can import this pack into NinjaTrader.
To remove an existing NinjaScript:
1. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Remove NinjaScript to open the Remove NinjaScript dialog window.
2. Select the file you want to remove e.g MicroTrendsNinjaTraderFramework7.
3. Click the "Remove" button.
To import the NinjaScript download:
1. Save the attachments of this email into an easy to locate folder such as c:\downloads.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript to open the Import NinjaScript dialog window.
3. Select the file you want to import e.g c:\downloads\MicroTrendsNinjaTraderFramework7.zip.
4. Press the "Open" button
5. You may need to restart NinjaTrader if you removed an earlier copy of the NinjaScript file you imported.

As of 31 August 2010
Currently any published results and settings are now out of date due to rework. At the moment I am extensively re-engineering the framework so that all signal, trend, extremes and range indicators can be combined and aggregated by a system called the Silver Bullet, in addition to this the Order Execution Engine has been reworked and has may new features for risk and money management - so it is all in a state of Flux.
So the honest answer is at the moment so much has changed that I don’t have that information to hand.
The plan is to carry on developing and release documentation/ results and settings after a stable set of features has been established. I hope to release version 7.0.0.15 today which will have the new MT2 Trend Trader and MT3 Range trader technology preview for free trial.
